Theodore J. Scallon Jr. (“TJ”) is an Advisory Partner at KPMG LLP, where he serves as the Financial Services Advisory Market Leader for the New York metropolitan region. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading the firm’s strategy and growth across the financial services sector, advancing talent and culture initiatives, and supporting community engagement efforts in the region.
With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, TJ specializes in financial, operational, and regulatory risk management. He has advised global financial institutions on a range of matters, including risk governance, internal audit, transformation, data and analytics, and regulatory compliance. Earlier in his career, he served as a U.S. lead partner for Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Services within KPMG’s Financial Services practice. Prior to joining the advisory practice, he was an audit partner serving major public financial institutions.
TJ has international experience, having completed a four-year assignment in the Netherlands, where he worked with leading European financial services clients. He has also contributed to firm governance through his service on KPMG’s Nominating Committee for the Board of Directors.
He is actively engaged in community and philanthropic initiatives, including past service as Treasurer of the Enright Melanoma Foundation and ongoing involvement with the American Heart Association’s Wall Street Run and Heart Walk.
TJ is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He resides in Summit, New Jersey, with his wife, Theresa, and their two daughters, including Kathryn, a member of Ithaca College’s Class of 2028.
