Ithaca College featured on list of most-represented schools on Broadway.

With alumni like Q. Smith, Caesar Samayoa and Jeremy Jordan, Ithaca College is well represented on Broadway stages. That’s one of the reasons why Broadway World included IC on its list of top theatre schools for 2019.

“At Ithaca, we train the whole artist, so we strive to deepen their connection to the material, their awareness of the world around them, and how they can make a unique contribution to the work,” Catherine Weidner, professor and chair of the Department of Theatre Arts told the theatre news website. “Our acting and musical theatre students are colleagues, in classes and experiences together throughout their time here, auditioning and performing in plays, musicals and our dance concerts. There’s room for everybody.”

In addition to Smith, Samayoa and Jordan, Broadway World listed Aaron Tveit, Megan Ort, Ben Feldman, Jerad Bortz, Matt Cavenaugh, Michelle Federer and Kerry Butler as notable IC alumni.

Other schools on Broadway World’s list include Columbia University, Carnegie Mellon University and Northwestern University.
