Jan Singer ’86 was elected to the Ithaca College Board of Trustees as a term trustee on April 10. Singer received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology-business at IC and has served in executive leadership positions for some of the world’s largest fashion and luxury brands, including Chanel, Prada, Calvin Klein, Nike, Reebok and Spanx.  Most recently, she was CEO of Victoria’s Secret Lingerie.

“I am excited to welcome Jan to our board of trustees. Her experience in the private sector will be a terrific addition to our board, particularly as we develop and implement our new strategic plan," said Dave Lissy ’87, board chair. “I look forward to working with Jan, both as a colleague and as a fellow IC alum.”

Singer returned to the college last April to speak to students and receive the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Achievement Award from the national honor society. While on campus, she met with students from the American Marketing Association, the Women in Business student group, and the Beta Gamma Sigma executive board.

“I am thrilled that Jan Singer has joined our board,” President Shirley M. Collado said. “She’s a distinguished alumna and an accomplished, strong leader whose work is deeply driven by her core values. We are fortunate to be able to draw upon her tremendous creativity, talent, and expertise in this new role as trustee.”
