Giving Back on Giving Tuesday

More than $20,000 raised during the one-day event.

Each year, Giving Tuesday presents an opportunity for people to give to causes closest to them, and the Ithaca College community is no exception.

This year’s day-long campaign offered people three opportunities to support IC students: by giving to student affairs and campus life through the Annual Fund, donating to the student emergency relief fund, and to the college's wellness app for students initiative.

A total of 231 donors gave to the three causes during the event, raising a total of $22,287.

Staying in the Giving Spirit

Giving Tuesday is over, but there are still plenty of ways you can give back to Ithaca College. More information about giving opportunities can be found here.

Wendy Kobler, the college’s vice president of philanthropy and engagement, said that the numbers reflect the generosity of the Ithaca College community, and the hard work of the staff members who organized the event.

“Time and again, our alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends have rallied to show our Bomber pride by giving back to the next generation of Bombers. We are indeed fortunate to be a part of such an amazing, conscientious community,” she said. “On behalf of our incredible Division of Philanthropy and Engagement, I want to share my immense gratitude to all who made a gift to support student wellness on Giving Tuesday.”
