“Poets and Quants for Undergrads” releases its list of best undergraduate business schools.

The Ithaca College School of Business was named a Best Undergraduate Business School by "Poets & Quants for Undergrads," an online publication for undergraduate business education. The school was listed as #81 in the nation in the 2022 ranking. Other top schools include the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the Stern School of Business at New York University.

“After the pandemic upheaval of the past two years, we are all very excited about our ranking in Poet & Quants,” said Alka Bramhandkar, interim dean for the School of Business. “I am especially happy with how highly alumni regard the program.”

The Poets & Quants rankings are based on three equally weighted categories of data: admissions standards, alumni experience, and career outcomes. IC’s School of Business ranked 67th in alumni experience, 84th in admissions standards, and 91st in career outcomes.

“We believe the quality of business education comes down to three core issues,” said Nathan Allen, project manager "Poets & Quants for Undergrads." “The quality of the raw talent coming through the door, what a school does with that talent over four years, and finally how the marketplace responds to the graduates coming off-campus.”

Considered the most comprehensive assessment of undergraduate business programs, "Poets & Quants for Undergrads" released its sixth annual Best Undergraduate Business Schools 2022 rankings. This year’s ranking included 95 schools, up from 93 last year. For the first time since the launch of this ranking the methodology was adjusted, including reducing the weight given to average SAT scores. Learn more about the ranking’s methodology.
