Alumni and other friends of Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications are invited to a special 50th anniversary celebration in New York City on Friday, April 5. Titled Empowered by Park, the event will highlight the endeavors of five remarkable alumni who are actively shaping a better world through their work.

Ithaca College President La Jerne Terry Cornish, Dean Amy Falkner, and members of the Park School faculty and staff will be on hand to commemorate 50 years since the school’s founding, continuing a yearlong celebration that began last fall during Alumni Weekend.

The event is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. at Stout NYC, located in Penn Station at 133 W 33rd St. In addition to video presentations highlighting each of the featured alumni, participants will enjoy complimentary beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres, with plenty of time for mingling and reminiscing.

This milestone event is free, with those interested in attending asked to register in advance by March 25.

“Together, we will reflect on our past achievements and look ahead with pride and excitement, acknowledging the impactful contributions our alumni are making in the media industry,” said Falkner. “This is a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, expand your professional network, and engage in meaningful conversations about the role of media in addressing social issues.
