The Ithaca College School of Business was listed as a Best Undergraduate Business School for 2024 by the online publication “Poets&Quants for Undergrads.” The P&Q ranking, now in its eighth year, is considered the most comprehensive assessment of undergraduate business programs.

The school checked in at 66th on the list, which marked a 12-spot improvement over its finish in 2023, and the second straight year that the school’s national ranking has improved.

“It is great to be ranked among the hundred best schools in the country — even better when we climb twelve slots, like we did this year,” says Dean Michael Johnson-Cramer. “What stays constant, year-in and year-out, is our commitment to helping our students to become creative leaders and to find a sense of purpose in their careers.”

For the rankings, recent graduates were surveyed on aspects of faculty availability, extracurricular opportunities, and accessibility of the alumni network. Schools are then ranked based on three equally-weighted categories – Admission Standards, Academic Experience, and Career Outcomes. Each category accounts for one third of the final ranking score.

“All 91 undergraduate business programs ranked by Poets&Quants are at the leading edge of business education,” said Kristy Bleizeffer, staff writer for Poets&Quants. “They deliver a learning experience that transforms students’ sense of who they are and what they can do in the world.”

The School of Business was ranked 55th for career outcomes, 65th for academic experience, and 76th for admission standards. The career outcomes finish represented an 18-spot improvement over last year, the second straight year the school has seen that level of improvement.
