Play will run select dates between March 27 and April 3.

The Ithaca College School of Music, Theatre, and Dance continues its 2023-24 theatre season with “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot,” a play that imagines the modern-day trial of Judas for his betrayal of Jesus.

“The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” will be presented in Hoerner Theatre and run select dates between March 27 and April 3. This production is directed by Catherine Weidner ’85, professor of theatre and dance performance, who will be retiring from Ithaca College at the end of the academic year.

A talkback with the cast will be held following the 8 p.m. performance on Monday, April 1.

Written by Stephen Adly Guirgis, “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” questions the fate Judas was given. Set in purgatory, this play dives deep into the idea of forgiveness, betrayal, and God’s will. Despite the humor within the show, it is a dark, thought-provoking piece of theatre that will resonate deeply with audiences.

“The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” is presented through special arrangement with Broadway Licensing. All authorized performance materials are also supplied by Broadway Licensing
