The track star set an Ithaca College record with her fourth individual national championship.

Fresh off of receiving her degree at Ithaca College’s 123rd Commencement ceremony, track & field athlete Taryn Cordani raced to a national championship in the 10,000-meter run at the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

With the win, Cordani became the first-ever Ithaca College student-athlete to win four national titles during their career.

Cordani led the championship race from the start and finished in 35:03.20, the 12th fastest time in Division III history.

This individual title marks the fifth for Ithaca this season, as teammate Katherine Pitman won the indoor pole vault championship, Ben Brisman of the wrestling team won the 141-lb. championship and Nickie Griesemer claimed the 1-meter and 3-meter diving championships for the women's swimming & diving team.
