Can’t make it to the Big Apple? We’ll bring the game to you.
Ithaca College, SUNY Cortland, and the YES Network today announced that the 2026 Cortaca Jug presented by Visions Federal Credit Union will be broadcast live nationwide on YES, the most-watched regional sports network in the United States, and streamed nationwide free of charge on the DAZN app. The Bombers take on the Red Dragons at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, November 14, at 1 p.m. Eastern.
“Cortaca brings the Ithaca College community together across generations and across the country,” said President La Jerne Terry Cornish. “We would love to have every Bomber fan join us at Yankee Stadium, but we know that isn’t possible. Having the game on YES and DAZN means more of our alumni, families, and friends nationwide can share in an afternoon that means so much to IC.”
The 67th Cortaca Jug marks the rivalry’s second trip to Yankee Stadium. In 2022, the Bombers defeated the Red Dragons 34–17 before 40,232 fans—the second-largest crowd in NCAA Division III football history. That game was also televised on YES.
“Our student-athletes and coaches put so much work into this program, and the opportunity to compete at Yankee Stadium on the YES Network is something they’ll remember for the rest of their lives,” said Aaron Bouyea, director of intercollegiate athletics. “They get to take the field in one of the most famous stadiums in the world and showcase their hard work on the YES Network. That’s an incredible opportunity, and I’m thrilled for them.”
Dubbed “the biggest little game in the nation” by Sports Illustrated, the Cortaca Jug dates to 1959, when team captains from Ithaca and Cortland created a traveling trophy for their annual football rivalry. Purchased for $2 at a local yard sale, the original jug was painted in both schools’ colors.
