Become a Title IX Intern!

An Amazing Opportunity to Engage in Prevention Efforts with the Title IX Office.

Introduction

The Office of Title IX, in partnership with the Prevention Education Network, invites you to apply for our Fall 2022 Internship Program! This is an exciting opportunity to learn from and work alongside our team, supporting our mission to ensure a safe community for all to live, learn and work through our education and prevention efforts.

Responsibilities

As a Title IX Intern, you will focus primarily on prevention efforts within our office. You will have the opportunity to pilot our office’s Campus Newsletter, providing the campus community with up-to-date information on all things Title IX. You will have the chance to table at events on campus, representing our office and the work we do. You will educate students, faculty, and staff on topics like what it means to be a prosocial bystander, how to make a report to the Title IX office, what affirmative consent really means, how to promote healthy relationship behaviors, and more. You will also learn how to create promotional materials for upcoming events, develop communication plans, and create proposals for important future work. This role will also include administrative responsibilities.

Outside of the opportunities we offer to you, we will ask you to identify skills that you would like to develop while in this role as well!

Candidates

We are searching for applicants that are interested in fostering and maintaining a campus climate that is supportive of fellow students; someone interested in developing strong interpersonal and communication skills; someone interested in working and interacting respectively within a diverse and inclusive environment; an intern that displays excellent attention to detail, strong presentation and facilitation skills, and a willingness to engage in conversations that may include but are not limited to sex, sexuality, gender identity & expression, sexual assault, rape, stalking, and dating/intimate partner violence.
