Shalom and Welcome to Ithaca College Hillel!
Every year we welcome first year students and their families to our signature Fresh Fest Celebration-- a program conducted in partnership with Ithaca College First Year Experience offering various entry points to incoming Jewish freshmen to adjust to campus, by meeting current students and Hillel staff, getting to know each other, creating a community and starting off a new chapter in their lives surrounded by friends and a caring community. This year Hillel FreshFest will take place August 18-20, 2019.
As part of Hillel's Orientation, we are also hosting a special First Year Family Reception at 4:00 pm in Muller Chapel on Sunday, August 18. Parents and other family members are welcome to join Hillel staff and board members for an introduction to campus, and Jewish Life at Ithaca College. We know that you have questions - this reception will be a perfect opportunity to have them answered. It will also allow you to meet other parents and to be involved with Jewish Life at Ithaca College.
Please register by August 10th.
Cost: $100, which includes Kosher* and Kosher-style meals, programming, t-shirt, and Thursday Family reception.

Can't Come to Fresh Fest? Sign up for Hillel and tell us about yourself here, and join us for a Welcome Back Bagel Brunch on Tuesday August 20th at 11:00 AM at Muller Chapel (all students and families are welcome).
Fresh Fest is led by returning students who can apply to be a Fresh Fest leader here (you ROCK!).

FreshFest Participant Check In Information - check back after August 10th to confirm check in locations which may be updated
Participants should plan on checking into your housing between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 23
Based on your fall housing assignment, check in to the appropriate housing office listed below.
· Terraces 1 – 13, East Tower, and West Tower check in at the Terrace 7 Area Office, Room 100
· Hood, Holmes, Hilliard, Eastman, Landon, Bogart, Lyon, Clarke, Boothroyd, Rowland, Tallcott or Emerson Halls, or Garden Apartments check in at the Quads Area Office, Eastman 102
*Note: All food will be kosher or kosher style, and there will be kosher food available at every meal for students who request strictly kosher food when registering

4:30 pm Ice Breakers (Outside of Muller Chapel, Rain Location: Sanctuary, Phillips Room, Melinda’s Office)
5:30 Scavenger Hunt
6:10 pm Head to the Commons for Dinner and Music
9:00 pm Back to campus
9:30 am Breakfast (Around the fireplace area)
10:15 am Walk to Buttermilk Falls State Park
11:00 am Ice Breaker (Picnic area next to the parking lot at Buttermilk State Park)
11:30 – 12:30 pm Hike or Alternate Activity at the Park (Buttermilk State Park)
- Feel free to bring sports equipment (Frisbees, footballs, soccer balls)
12:30 pm Lunch at Buttermilk Falls (Picnic area near parking lot)
1:00 pm Jewish Identity Activity (Picnic area near parking lot)
