Sexual Violence Prevention Committee

The Sexual Violence Prevention Committee is a committee designed to prevent sexual violence at Ithaca College. The committee's charges are to:

  1. Create and maintain a network of organizations and offices implementing sexual violence prevention programming on campus;
  2. Identify any gaps in campus programming initiatives and make recommendations to appropriate offices and/or organizations to implement needed programming;
  3. Develop and implement at least one campus-wide program each semester.

This committee is chaired by the Title IX Deputy Coordinator and membership includes representatives from various offices, departments, and student organizations including but not limited to Center for I.D.E.A.s, Center for LGBT Services & Outreach, Office of Student Engagement, Advocacy Center of Tompkins County, Athletics, One Love IC Chapter, & Residential Life.

The Sexual Violence Prevention Committee is also active in creating prevention programming initiatives over the course of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
