Class of 2027

For Kai’s community service last year he was apart of the “From One Heart to Another”
event on campus. This event was about giving hope to the incarcerated and trying to write
them letters of hope to keep them moving forward, as well as writing letters to members of
the government to make change for fair treatment of the incarcerated as well. This year Kai
was a part of volunteering and setting up the NYC Marathon. Watching all these people
from different countries and backgrounds all over the world come together for this one
event was an amazing thing to experience. He got vast experience for his future career in
sport management, while also doing his part to help people from different communities all
over the world.
Being an MLK Scholar to me means always looking for ways to leave the world better off
than when you found it.
