Margot has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, service, and community engagement throughout her high school years. She served as president of her school’s Girl Up Club, where she led fundraising efforts to purchase essential items for women residing in domestic violence shelters within her community. Through this experience, she gained a deeper understanding of the importance of supporting others and creating meaningful, positive change. Her leadership role also allowed her to develop valuable skills in collaboration, organization, and advocacy.
In addition to her work with Girl Up, Margot participated in several school organizations dedicated to community service and volunteerism. She consistently sought opportunities to give back and make a difference in the lives of others. One of her most impactful experiences was volunteering at a summer camp over multiple summers, where she discovered a passion for working with children. Building relationships with young people and helping them learn and grow further strengthened her desire to pursue a career in education.
These experiences have played an important role in shaping Margot’s academic and professional goals. As a student at Ithaca College studying education, she hopes to become a teacher who empowers and inspires young people. She is committed to creating supportive learning environments and encouraging her future students to use their voices, engage with their communities, and recognize their potential to make a positive impact on the world around them.
