Exploration of the development of the cultural characteristics of British Comedy programming for cinema, television, and radio. This class traces the evolution of comedic forms, and surveys contemporary genres--sketch, broken, sitcom, satire, stand-up, improv, the impressionists, and "sittrag." Only offered in London.
Prerequisites: three courses in humanities (HU) and/or social sciences (SS), junior standing and acceptance into the Ithaca College London Program. (F)
