Choose your program option at IC’s London Center this summer.

The Ithaca College London Center program offers two seven-week summer options, both of which take place between mid-May and early July.

Option 1:  Internship and Internship Seminar
Internships, or work placements as they are called in London, are available in a variety of fields. Previous students have worked in advertising, education, fashion, film production, marketing, sports management and theatre. Submit a resume and cover letter and complete a questionnaire indicating your interests so London Center staff can find the best placement for you.  In the seminar, you’ll reflect on your experience as it happens.  Apply by February 15. 

Option 2:  Coursework Only
Take two three-credit courses.  Browse the London Center course listing to see what is offered in the summer. London will become your classroom. Learn about art history in the Tate Modern, theatre while attending a performance at Shakespeare's Globe or West End theatres, and explore sociology in London's diverse neighborhoods. Apply by March 1.

Application information

Applications are due February 15 and can be completed by clicking on the 'Register/Apply' button found on the London Center brochure page. Students applying for an internship will also submit additional internship materials (Internship Application, Questionnaire, Resume, and Cover Letter) after being accepted into the program.

Summer 2023 Program Dates

  • Departure from NY – May 20
  • Arrival in London – May 21
  • Return flight to the U.S. – July 9

Housing

The London Center will place students flats or residence hall-style accommodations in Central London. The properties are fully furnished, clean, and regularly maintained. Each has 24-hour emergency contacts and is centrally located with easy access to public transportation.

Travel

The Office of International Programs will put together a group flight package. Students may choose the group flight package or may opt to make their own travel arrangements.
