ENVS 20900 London, People, and the Planet (LA)

This course addresses global environmental challenges in the context of London’s role as a hub for debate, research, and as an incubator of innovative solutions in the United Kingdom. Students will study and use the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework for the analysis of climate change, water scarcity, deforestation, health, mass migration, and economic slowdown. Questions of sustainability will be central to the course in terms of the effect of environmental change, the experience of select communities, and potential solutions. Includes field trips to appropriate sites. Offered only in the London Center.
