Dr. John Crawford is an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Department of Accounting and Finance. He joined Ithaca College in the fall of 2025 after teaching finance and accounting at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford for 12 years. His primary research interests include executive compensation, corporate governance, behavioral finance, personal finance, and corporate scandals and economic crises.
Dr. Crawford has recently coordinated a new student and faculty exchange program with partner school Hochschule Heilbronn in Germany; he has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and completed his doctorate at Wilmington University. Additionally, Dr. Crawford enjoys spending time with his family, helping small businesses, and traveling the world.
