This sprawling exhibition features painting, sculpture, drawing and other multimedia work from our 2026 Art BFA cohort of Caitlyn Agro, Leslie Duncan, Jude Graham, Lee Kreshtool, Payton Romance, and Vic.
Their work is complemented by works by graduating seniors from all majors across Ithaca College including Mette Anais Aarsheim, Tallulah Anderson, Ruth Ada Ayambem, Ezra Aydin, Sophia Bartolomeo, Daisy Bolger, Jonah Brainard, Aleksander Burke, Sam Burns, Caleb Cackowski, Emma Chank, Sara DiLorenzo, Emily Ferencsik, Pierre Field, Ana Gavilanes, Katelyn Iklé, Caleb Kaufman, Mari Kodama, Casey Kohler, Sofia Kornemann, Elysia Leigh, Elena Lindeman, Clare Lickona, Madden McLeod, Katya Mirsky, Sonia Mlakar, Ava Nicoletti, Natalie Nelson, Leezum Rose Regensburg, Norah Seasholtz, Mary Townsend ,Meredith Waropay, Noelle Whipple, Grace Young, and Charlotte Zilinek.
WHAT IS LOREM IPSUM? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Softwares like Adobe, Microsoft, and Google all use Lorem Ipsum as their dummy text. It has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500's, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC.
I have been so lucky to collaborate with my peers in a way that uplifts creativity and individualism. It has been so much fun seeing everyone’s work come together. Additionally, as a Theatre Production and Design student, I value visual storytelling and utilizing environment to depict mood. The mood of this show is an uplifting one, it is a celebration of creative achievement and collaboration with peers. I am passionate about the importance of live entertainment, my experience in designing for the stage has absolutely informed my process as a curator. I would like to shout out all the students and professors in my major, we all do incredible work and it often goes unnoticed by audiences. I chose Lorem Ipsum as the name for this show after jokingly suggesting it with a friend as a title. We were both using Photoshop for our respective assignments, and realized we had never questioned what the phrase meant. After some research I thought it was the perfect title, it represents a new beginning which is where my class finds itself stepping into the professional world. We have arrived at a new, fresh start.
