Ithaca College Center for Theatre and Dance is proud to open its 2022-2023 season with the 2017 Pulitzer Prize Winning play “Sweat” by Lynn Nottage, and directed by Cynthia Henderson. This production will run September 29 – October 2, 2022 in the Clark Theatre in Dillingham Center.
Set in Burks County, P.A., “Sweat” brings voice to a community hurting in isolation. Nottage’s play unravels a close-knit community of factory laborers who are at odds with one another among the post-industrial collapse of America. “Sweat,” according to Time Out New York is “passionate and necessary, a masterful depiction of the forces that divide and conquer us.”
This production contains offensive imagery, mature language, violence, haze, and loud noises.
