Singer, who majored in business and psychology at IC, has more than 25 years of experience working in fashion for iconic brands including Nike, Chanel, Prada and Calvin Klein. In its announcement, J.Crew noted Singer’s experience growing and modernizing omnichannel brands and her deep understanding of the modern consumer.

“I’m excited and honored to join this iconic brand and team at such an important time,” said Singer. “For me, J.Crew has led specialty retail by knowing what it takes to be a brand — putting the consumer first and at the center. My passion for developing product, brand experiences and teams feels very at home at J.Crew. It’s a beloved brand that has always been in my heart and, like millions of consumers, in my closet.”

The fashion executive joined the IC Board of Trustees last April. She shared her story as an IC alumna when she was named CEO of Victoria’s Secret Lingerie in 2016.

Singer returned to the campus in 2018 to speak to students and was presented with the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Achievement Award from on behalf of the national honor society. This past fall, she spoke to faculty, staff and students who are members of the Women’s Mentoring Network at the college.
