Chad comes to IC with more than two decades of experience in higher education and a proven record as a front-line fundraiser, team leader, and strategist. He most recently served as Executive Director of Major and Planned Gifts at St. Lawrence University, where he managed a portfolio of alumni, parents, and friends and was responsible for raising more than $1 million in new gifts and commitments annually, while also hiring, on-boarding, and coaching new gift officers.
Prior to St. Lawrence, Chad served as Director of Family Philanthropy at Colby College, where he led a team focused on major and planned gifts from parents and helped drive significant growth in parent giving. Earlier in his career, he built a robust parent leadership giving program at St. Lawrence, including securing major and principal gifts and leading initiatives that substantially increased annual support from families. Across these roles, he has played important parts in large comprehensive campaigns and in advancing a data-informed, metrics-driven approach to fundraising.
