Spring 2026 Orientation Schedule
We are so excited to welcome you to the Ithaca College community! Click the dates below to see the schedule for each day of Spring Orientation.
Orientation Schedule
Students will be required to swipe their ID at each event to receive credit for attending the session. Required events are marked with an asterisk (*).

- 12–5 p.m. Housing & Orientation Check-in and New Student Move In*, Towers Eatery
- All new students need to check in during this period at Towers Marketplace to pick up their ID card* and Orientation materials, and get their small group number. Those living on campus will move in during this time as well. (*Please keep your ID with you, as it is required for swiping in at all orientation sessions.)
- 5:30–6:30 p.m. New Student and Family/Supporter Welcome Dinner, Emerson Suites
- Students and their supporters will have the opportunity to meet other new students and families! We will conclude this event with a farewell to family members, then students will head to orientation sessions.
- 6:30–7:15 p.m. Meet Your Orientation Leader, Small Group Meeting #1*, Campus Center, Clark & Klingenstein Lounges
- Meet your Orientation Leader, connect with fellow new students, learn the "inside scoop" about being an IC student, and start building a supportive network within the campus community!
- 7:15–8:15 p.m. Residential Life Cluster Meeting**, Campus Center, Clark Lounge
- **Required event for students living on campus: Learn from your Residence Life and Housing staff about exciting events happening in your housing community, get information you will need to complete your first semester, and learn who your RA and RD is.

- 7-9 a.m. Breakfast , On Your Own (CC Dining Hall or Terraces Dining Hall)
- 10–10:45 a.m. New Student Welcome*, Campus Center - Klingenstein Lounge
- Kick off the day with the New Student Welcome. Receive a brief introduction to the day's events, meet some of your peers, and get energized for an exciting day ahead.
- 11 a.m.–12 p.m. Academic Session*, Campus Center, Clark Lounge
- Hear from the Academic Support Center, where you will walk through some of the academic resources available through IC, learn more about your program, and have the opportunity to connect with advisors to get any last minute questions answered.
- 12–1 p.m. Lunch with Small Groups, Campus Center Dining Hall
- Enjoy a casual lunch with your OL and small group where you can make friends, ask questions, receive personalized advice, and learn about being an IC student.
- 1–1:30 p.m. Campus Tours, Various Locations
- Find your classes, the best spots to study or hang out, and other important places on campus on this tour guided by your Orientation Leader.
- 1:30–2:45 p.m. Small Group Meeting #2*, Campus Center, Ithaca Falls & Cayuga Lake Rooms
- Learn more about campus resources, explore campus, and continue to make connections with your peers.
- 2:45–3:45 p.m. Building a Community of Respect*, Campus Center, Klingenstein Lounge
- You will join the Center for Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, the Unity Center, the LGBT Center, and the Office for Religious and Spiritual Life for an interactive session that dives deep into what makes up our identities.
- 4–5 p.m. Flock Around & Find Out About Mental Health Resources*, Campus Center, Clark Lounge
- Explore the IC resources available to support your wellness throughout your college journey. This session will feature the Center for Health Promotion, Counseling and Psychological Services, and the Office of ICare and Student Support.
- 5–7 p.m. Dinner & Break, On Your Own (CC Dining Hall or Terraces Dining Hall)
- 7–9 p.m. Trivia Night - Win Dorm Prizes! , Campus Center, Klingenstein Lounge
- Join us for a fun-filled night of trivia with exciting prizes! Test your knowledge and enjoy a cozy evening with new friends!

- 9:45–10:45 a.m. Safety on Campus*, Campus Center, Clark Lounge
- Your Title IX and Public Safety teams are here to support you. In this session, we’ll break down your rights, highlight the resources available to you, and walk through your options for reporting. You'll also learn key safety tips and prevention strategies that promote a culture of awareness, respect, and care on campus. Together, we’ll explore how to recognize and respond to sexual assault, dating violence, and domestic violence, and how to get help when it’s needed.
- 11 a.m.–12 p.m. Finding Your CosmIC Connection!*, Campus Center, Klingenstein Lounge
- Students in this session will learn about the platform IC Engage and how to navigate it to explore 3 common engagement opportunities amongst campus: Events, Student Clubs & Organizations, and Leadership Development! Attendees will learn about the SLI workshops, how to search for different clubs based on their interests, and searching/RSVP’ing for events across campus.

- 1–2:30 p.m. Small Group Meeting #3*, Campus Center, Ithaca Falls & Cayuga Lake Rooms
- Put what you've learned at Orientation to the test for a chance to win a cool prize!
- 2:45–4:15 p.m. New Student Social, Campus Center, Klingenstein Lounge
- Connect with your fellow students and set goals for your time at IC by building a vision board or unwind with some board games and watercolor!
- 8–10 p.m. Res Life Lounge Events, Various Locations
- Explore the Residential Life lounges for an exciting evening of cookie decorating, board games and coloring, sand art, and pottery painting (each lounge will have a different activity).

Friends Hall 103 will be open from 9am-9pm on Sunday, January 18 and Monday, January 19 for you to complete your Community Education Modules. Completion of these modules is required to register for classes in future semesters.
