Institutional Review Board (IRB)

The IRB is a standing committee at Ithaca College that is responsible for reviewing all research and teaching activities conducted by IC faculty, staff, and students that involve the use of human subjects to ensure that these activities minimize the potential for risk.

Reporting Concerns

Concerns can be reported to one of the following:

Recruitment Statement and/or flyer - what you plan to say to subjects to encourage them to participate and/or the flyer you plan to post on campus

Informed Consent Form
If you plan to conduct an anonymous survey, you can use one of the following in place of the Informed Consent Form:

All Survey Instruments - questions, scales, tests, etc.

All applications will be deemed incomplete if they are not accompanied by the appropriate appendices.

Qualtrics Online Survey Tool Available

The Ithaca College Office of Institutional Research provides an online survey software tool, Qualtrics, for use by faculty, staff, and students.
