National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) 2019

As part of Ithaca College’s commitment to undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity, support will be provided for approximately 16 student scholars at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), to be held April 10-13, 2019 at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia.

The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) has selected the Kennesaw State University to host the 2019 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR). This esteemed event brings together more than 3,000 students and their faculty mentors for a three day conference. NCUR provides students with the opportunity to present their scholarly research in a professional setting and interact with their peers, in addition to meeting with graduate school and corporate recruiters.

Who can apply? Any undergraduate student in any program can apply to present their work. Virtually every discipline is represented at NCUR. Students can also present work that is created in an interdisciplinary posture. Please note, however, that support can typically only be given to one student for work that was prepared with multiple authors. Creative activity, such as musical or theatrical performance, or other work in the fine arts, is also welcome.

To receive support from Ithaca College, students must be in good standing, have a 3.0 or higher GPA, and have a good judicial record. The College cannot provide support for presentation at NCUR to students who have received significant support for other conference presentations in AY2018/19.

Students who think they’d like to present at NCUR should initiate a conversation with their faculty mentors as soon as they can. There will be special information sessions scheduled to help guide students through the application process:

Information Sessions will be held on November 9th, 2018 from 12:00-1:00 PM and from 4:00-5:00 PM in the Ithaca Falls Room.

When submitting your abstract, please put Omar Stoute ( down as coordinator.
