Preparatory Undergraduate Coursework

Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in accounting: No additional preparatory coursework required.

Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in a non-accounting field: Must have completed at least 60 credits in liberal arts coursework plus Financial Accounting and Management Accounting, Intermediate Accounting (I and II), Cost Accounting, Tax Accounting, Auditing, and Commercial Law.

Testing

All applicants are required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE).

This requirement is waived for students who:

  • have graduated (or will graduate) from an AACSB-accredited business school; and
  • have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher at the start of their final semester.

Non-Ithaca College Students: An official electronic transcript from each college or university attended should be sent to admission@ithaca.edu by the registrar using the sending institution’s secure electronic submission system. Transcripts sent from a personal email are not official. If an official electronic transcript cannot be provided, an official paper transcript may be sent to:

Current Ithaca College Students: Your Ithaca College transcript will be provided to the Office of Admission automatically. However, you must request official transcripts from any other collegiate institutions you have attended, regardless of whether you received college credit from those institutions.
