Spencer Thorne

Spencer Thorne ’26 is a Cinema and Photography major with a minor in Entrepreneurship at Ithaca College. This semester, he is volunteering at Buffalo Street Books, where he helps maintain the physical space and will eventually assist in their online marketing. His passion for entrepreneurship and innovation has shaped much of his college experience. Spencer has competed twice in the REV Business Pitch Competition, where he not only won, but later returned to serve as a host. He was also part of the first IC cohort of the University Innovation Fellows, a Stanford-born program that brought him to Amsterdam last May to collaborate with student innovators from around the world. On campus, Spencer serves as the creative director of two student organizations: HiFashion Studios and Ithaca College Music Production, which he co-founded. In these roles, he has overseen the aesthetic cohesion for fashion shows, album releases, listening parties, photo and video shoots, live performances, and digital branding. He is grateful for the opportunity to lead talented teams, designing immersive experiences for the Ithaca community. In addition to his organizational leadership, Spencer has built a strong foundation in, and love for, film production. Throughout his career at IC, he has produced, scored, edited, and directed for fellow students. This year, he turns his focus toward his own senior thesis film, a project that synthesizes his artistic vision with the support of a dedicated and creative team. Spencer is committed to fostering authentic, non-performative innovation, collaboration, and artistry both within his community and beyond.
