This is Ally’s first year in the Park Scholar program, and she is thrilled to hit the ground running by continuing her community service and leadership roles in the Ithaca Community. During the 2024–2025 academic year, she participated in ICTV as the station’s News Director, ensuring quality and ethical productions for all shows. Ally also served as a Classroom Assistant for both Introduction to TV Studio Production (TVR 107) and Television Production and Direction (TVR 225), as well as working on campus as an Admission Host. This summer, Ally had an internship doing what she loves: working in local journalism. She served as a production intern for WFMZ-TV Channel 69 News in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She helped write scripts, stack show rundowns, and produce full episodes of local news. This semester, Ally is continuing her passions as an Admission Host and Classroom Assistant but is now acting as ICTV’s Director of Publicity. She oversees the station’s social media accounts, creating graphics and guiding 30+ media managers to online success. She has also reignited her passion for singing in the Ithaca College Choir, an audition choir that performs a wide variety of choral music. Ally volunteers weekly at Ithaca’s McGraw House, where she assists residents with their technology-related issues. Ally also volunteers with Ithaca High School’s guidance department by creating a social media page with college application information, tips, and advice for high school seniors aiming to pursue higher education. Ally is passionate about helping young adults find their interests and shape their futures, and she is overjoyed that she can give her time to causes that reflect that. Ally is forever grateful to be a Park Scholar and cannot wait to continue her journey, uplifting voices and sharing impactful stories in local media.
