Augustine Daudu

Augustine Daudu is a third-year Advertising, Public Relations & Marketing Communications student with a minor in Live Event Design and Management. Last year he volunteered at College Initiative Upstate (CIU), an education non-profit in Tompkins County designed to help people with barriers to higher education get into and through college. He created digital media to raise awareness of CIU and its services in the community and assisted the CIU directors in securing a $1,000 grant from the Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library. Over the summer, Augustine stayed in Ithaca to intern as a marketing communications assistant at Cornell University’s Center for Regional Economic Advancement. He also did photography and videography for CIU’s Spring Graduation Ceremony. This year, he is excited to continue his service with CIU, as well as assist residents at McGraw House with their technology needs alongside other Park Scholars. He will also be continuing his internship at the Center for Regional Economic Advancement. On campus, he is the director of advertising for the African Student Association, videographer for NUVO, the only BIPOC a capella group on campus, a member of Park Post, and a member of the Athletics Creative Media team. Augustine is grateful for the opportunity to be a Park Scholar and is excited to learn new skills and use them to help others.
