Autumn is a Journalism and Religious Studies major from Westchester, New York. During the 2023-2024 academic year, Autumn volunteered with The Village at Ithaca and took photos and videos for their social media to recap their events. She also played piano and sang at McGraw House for residents during the holidays. Last summer, Autumn traveled to Thailand with GIVE, where she learned more about education, sustainability and reforestation efforts, and grew as a leader and learner with a dedicated group of volunteers. This year, Autumn is an editor for Buzzsaw Magazine, a writer for HerCampus , and a Peer Educator for the Unity Center. She is also a part of IC’s Marketing and Communications team, Vice President of Communications for the Society of Professional Journalists and a member of IC’s cross-country team. This year, Autumn is continuing her work with the Village at Ithaca, where she is creating a short film that showcases the new mural created by local artists and students at the Village. Autumn is also continuing to volunteer with INSIDE Nature, and creating a video for their website, highlighting the importance of incorporating elements of nature inside nursing homes and long-term care communities. She also plans on continuing to sing at McGraw House and continue serving on the IC Alumni Association Board as a student volunteer. Autumn is excited to continue her journey as a Park Scholar and learn more about inclusive education and social justice through her classes and volunteer work.
