Ava Suffredini is a television and digital media production student with a minor in journalism. She works at the Academic Support Center as a Head Peer Success Coach, helping students adjust to college. She spends most of her time on campus with The Ithacan , Ithaca College's student-run newspaper. She served as Co-Video Editor for the 2025 academic semester and remains a writer and videographer. She was recently recognized by the New York Press Association and received third place for short video content for her video coverage of the No Kings Protest in Washington, D.C back in October 2025. Ava helped produce and edit “The Animals of Saoirse Pastures”, a student documentary about an animal sanctuary in upstate New York. The documentary won the Parkies Award for Best Documentary and was posted on PBS affiliate WCNY’s YouTube channel. Her editing work extends to Park Productions, Ithaca College’s media production company, and Cornell Lab of Ornithology, where she helps edit promotional content for the lab's social media. Off campus, Ava is involved with The History Center in Tompkins County as a volunteer docent, where she helps go through archival material and run the front desk. She joins other Park Scholars weekly at Finger Lakes Reuse to help sort through items to keep the community waste-free. Over the summer, Ava works as a producer for Premier Media Group, a broadcast media company in Michigan. She helps create graphics and broadcast soccer games for the USLW and USL leagues.
