Janelle Harris is a third-year student at Ithaca College and a proud Park Scholar. This past year, Janelle kept herself quite busy! She continued her work as an Ithaca College Admissions Host tour guide. Additionally, this past November, she joined the college's Marketing and Communications team as a student content creator. During her free time, Janelle could be found volunteering at The State Theatre of Ithaca, which she plans to continue this academic year in her new role as Head Usher. Moreover, this past May Janelle was awarded the Google Scholarship by the prestigious New York Women in Communications. She was also selected as a Peter Roth Intern at The Paley Center for Media. The Peter Roth Internship Program at Paley is a competitive, illustrious program, that provides 20 college students with first-hand experience in both the business and creative sides of television. Thanks to the generosity of the IC Career Center Internship Fund, Janelle was able to participate in this six-week program in New York City this past summer! At the conclusion of her six weeks, Janelle returned to campus to serve as a Fall 2025 Orientation Leader. As for her other on-campus involvements, Janelle is the president of the Community Church Leadership Program, a Christian based organization that hosts weekly bible studies, and is a news anchor and writer on ICTV’s The Director’s Chair. She is incredibly grateful to have been granted these life-changing opportunities and is excited to continue to explore the ever-changing world of film and television.
