Kaiden Chandler is a Communication Strategy and Design major at Ithaca College with a passion for journalism and community impact. Kaiden aspires to work in editorial product design, using design to help news organizations spread and deepen the impact of high-quality journalism. Currently, Kaiden is an editorial design and product intern at Ithaca's local alternative weekly newspaper, The Ithaca Times, and is a design editor at the college’s independent student newspaper, The Ithacan . This summer, Kaiden worked at The Connecticut Examiner as a newsletter strategy intern. As a Park Scholar, Kaiden enjoys working with organizations giving back to the local community. During the fall semester, he plans to continue working with young people at The Village at Ithaca, while also continuing to volunteer at Prunty’s Pantry, the college’s on-campus food bank. An avid distance runner, Kaiden is a member of Ithaca College’s cross country and track programs. He is also a member of the track and field leadership committee, where he helps to advocate for athlete needs and build a positive team culture. During Kaiden’s next three years at Ithaca College, he aims to focus on giving back to the Ithaca community, employing media skills to spread awareness and produce a positive impact.
