Isabella Edghill

Isabella Edghill is a first-year journalism major at Ithaca College. She is proud to be studying in the Roy H. Park School of Communications and hopes to learn more about how to best use journalism to serve local communities. She is passionate about student journalism and encouraging youth to explore journalism as a platform for advocacy. Isabella is excited to be writing for The Ithacan as a member of the news team. She is a member of Women in Communications and the Society of Professional Journalists. In her free time, Isabella enjoys reading, playing her violin in the IC Campus Orchestra and tap dancing with IC Tap Co. She volunteers with Finger Lakes ReUse Center and enjoys learning about the organization's sustainability initiatives. In high school, Isabella was opinion editor for her high school’s newspaper, and editor-in-chief for the Kentucky Student Voice Team’s independent student newsroom. There she worked to uplift the stories of Kentucky’s youth and to advance issues related to education justice. She also spent time volunteering at her church, teaching Sunday School for preschoolers. Isabella looks forward to finding new ways to engage with the Ithaca community over the next four years.
