Thomas is a B.F.A Film major with Screenwriting and Photography minors and a mission to use storytelling to ignite social change and build community. Throughout the last year, he dedicated his time to a wide variety of student projects across multiple departments. It is across these different roles that he has built a network of collaborators and friends that he hopes to continue working with for the rest of his career. These aspirations were realized over the summer, as Thomas recruited 2025 Ithaca College graduates Isaac Ensel and Eli Brown to begin work on their documentary film Grease and Lint, following textile historian Rabbit Goody and focusing on themes of process, art, and nature. Now, coming into his second year, Thomas has continued to spread his roots across numerous Park School departments. He is a member of Park Productions where he works as both a camera operator and the equipment manager for the organization. He has also begun his employment at the school’s equipment rental house, PPECS, as well as in the photo lab. Through this work he hopes to build his technical skills and continue to be a resource for fellow students. In the community, Thomas will return to service at McGraw House where he and other Park Scholars work directly with senior residents, providing companionship as they help residents navigate their personal technology. He also intends to work with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology to service to local natural environment as well. His goal as a film student and Park Scholar is to learn the skills needed to be a socially responsible filmmaker in service of socially driven organizations.
