Ruby is a TV, Film and Digital Media major, with a passion for storytelling and collaboration. In high school, Ruby worked on 16mm film intensives, scriptwriting, and documentary film projects exploring community, grassroots movements, and identity. In her free time, she volunteers at a local little league field, working concessions and scoring games. She has a deep passion for sports, stemming from her involvement in rock climbing, and high school softball and soccer teams. Aspiring to ultimately work in sports broadcasting, this year, Ruby will participate in ICTV as an assistant audio and truck engineer for Bombers Live Football . She will also be a Creative Media trainee and volunteer with the ICTV archives. Ruby is a proud member of the Association for Women in Sports Media, and will continue her involvement in sports on Ithaca’s Club Softball team. Additionally, she volunteers with other Park Scholars to assist senior citizens with technology at the McGraw House. As a Park Scholar, Ruby hopes to link her passion for storytelling with her love of sports.
