Carly Swanson (Journalism, '21)

Carly was the first student to register for the media literacy minor and was a member of the Media Literacy Minor Steering Committee. She also had minors in education and women's & gender studies, and she took courses in Music, Cinema & Photography, and Journalism for the minor. She created a website for her final portfolio, incorporating aspects of her major and all three of her minors.

Abby Scala (Writing and TV/Radio, '21)

Abby was the first student in a dual degree program to graduate with the media literacy minor, with majors in both H&S and the Park School. She took courses in Journalism, Philosophy, TV/R and Emerging Media for the minor, and did her internship with Atlantic Records. For her final portfolio she created a narrated PowerPoint.

Christine Madden (Psychology, '20)

Christine was the first student to graduate with a media literacy minor at Ithaca College. She took courses in Art History, Sociology, TV/R and Strategic Communications for the minor. She was a member of Dr. Scheibe's research team, the Center for Research on the Effects of Television, which is how she earned the credits for her media literacy application requirement.

Abigail Moore (Communication Management and Design, '21)

Abigail graduated with a degree in Communication Management and Design, and media literacy minor at Ithaca College. She took courses in Psychology,  Cinema and Photography,  Culture, Race and Ethnicity,  Music,  and Strategic Communications for the minor. She also had internships with The National Association of Media Literacy Education, and the Rosamond Gifford Zoo where she worked with the Communications Department.

Julia Batista (Integrated Marketing Communications, '22)

Julia graduated as an Integrated Marketing Communications majors, with minors in Media Literacy and International Business Studies at Ithaca College. She took courses in Psychology,  Sociology,  TV/R,  Culture, Race and Ethnicity,  and Computer Science for the minor. She completed an internship in Easy Event Planning to satisfy her media literacy application requirement.
