In honor of Carol & Peter Seligmann, this award is presented annually in recognition of outstanding academic achievements in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Ithaca College. The awardee's excellent grades, their contributions in research with their professors, and their active engagement in department events are all greatly appreciated. 2026 Physics & Astronomy Seligmann Award
Lillian Schick '28, recipient of the 2026 Seligmann Award.
Lillian Schick is a double major in Applied Physics and Exercise Science with a minor in Mathematics. She is currently conducting research with Professor Colleen Countryman on leveraging Generative AI as a tool for simulation development with emphasis on the best practices in prompting and interface design. Starting in Fall 2026, she will be a Learning Assistant for Physics 101 as well as a Student Ambassador in Exercise Science and Athletic Training. In addition to being an excellent student, she is a dedicated athlete on the Ithaca College Diving Team. She has also spent many years in gymnastics.
