The H&S Summer Scholars Program for 2021 will have a revised timeline due to the challenging times we are in. Applications will be available at the end of January, due at the end of February.
Summer Scholars Program
The Summer Scholars Program gives students in all Humanities and Sciences disciplines the opportunity to work alongside dedicated faculty mentors to collaborate on mutually-enriching projects over the course of 8-10 weeks in the summer.
Scholars are paid to engage in their projects full-time, developing key professional skills that they can build on in their future studies and career.
Eligible students have a major within the School of Humanities and Sciences and will be enrolled in the following fall semester.
Through the program, scholars have transformative experiences in a variety of research, scholarship, and creative inquiry projects. Some students design their own independent projects, others participate in ongoing faculty-led research projects in the field or in the lab.
Competitive applicants are students who are passionate about their studies and are ready for an experiential opportunity in their field.

- Paid full-time summer positions (37.5 hours/week at $11.80/hour)
- Projects last from 8-10 weeks starting between May 26 and June 1 and running through mid-August
