Writing Major Leah Skay ('21) Named a Finalist in Iron Horse Literary Review's 2019 PhotoFinish Contest

A flash fiction piece entitled “Don’t” (previously entitled “Walking on Eggshells”) by junior Writing major Leah Skay (’21) was named a finalist in Iron Horse Literary Review’s 2019 PhotoFinish contest, which recognizes the best works of flash prose (no more than 500 words) and compact poetry (no more than 15 lines) submitted to the competition.

The annual contest seeks “well-crafted and very brief ekphrastic work that pushes beyond the absolute literal details of a photo prompt.” The 2019 photo prompt can be seen on the contest page above.

The works of the winner and the ten finalists will be paired with a photo and produced as a full-color issue, available online at midnight on New Year’s Eve.
