Ithaca College students and employees have free premium access to Sanvello, a self-care phone application that can help to manage stress, anxiety, depression and build resiliency.
To access the premium version of Sanvello at no cost, IC members must download the application and create an account utilizing their IC email address. Please note that due to digital security reasons, Ithaca College asks that users DO NOT share their IC email address with friends or family members interested in utilizing this service. Ithaca College also requests that all users create a unique password for this service and DO NOT plan to use the same password as their IC email account.
Sanvello has a vast variety of different tools that can be used, depending on the needs and goal of the user. Please see the information below about the available tools in the Sanvello Phone Application and how to access these different tools.
The Sanvello Application allows you to track your mood and health behaviors such as sleep, caffeine intake, hygiene, exercise and more. As well as allowing you to see how your health behaviors might impact your mood.
Health Behavior Tracking: Select "Explore" on the bottom menu, select "Tools" (in the top left under the Explore heading) and then select "Health," the heart image
Mood Tracking: Track your mood by engaging with the daily check-in feature on the Sanvello Application, or add an additional mood entry by selecting "Me" on the bottom toolbar, select "mood" at the top of the page and then select "Add a Mood Entry"
Correlation between Mood and Health Behavior: Select "Me" "Me" on the bottom toolbar, select "mood" at the top of the page, click on the green header line at the top of the graph to see how different health behaviors interact with your mood
Sanvello recommends Guided Journey's based on the users assessment responses to help users manage stress, anxiety, and depression. Guided Journeys are led by experts, guided journeys are collections of video explorations, audio meditations and focused self-analysis exercises that are designed to be completed at your own pace. These Guided Journeys are evidence-based and created with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) philosophy and techniques.
Accessing Guided Journey: The recommended guided journey can be located on the top of your home screen on the Sanvello application. Or by selecting "Explore" on the bottom menu, select "Tools" (in the top left under the Explore heading) and then select "Guided Journeys"
There are five different guided journeys available currently, "Braving Anxiety," "Feeling Better," "Becoming Mindful," "Taking Control," and "Building Confidence"
Set goals for yourself and utilize tracking tools to monitor your progress towards longer term personal growth.
Goal Setting: Select "Explore" on the bottom menu, select "Tools" (in the top left under the Explore heading) and then select "Goals" the lightening bolt image
The Sanvello Thought tools section includes an array of tools to calm your mind, practice journaling, practice gratitude, change your outlook (reframe tool), and redirect negative thoughts.

Sanvello allows you to access a variety of meditation techniques and even create your own custom audio meditation. With exercises from 1 minute to 20 minutes depending on the amount of time you have and what you are looking for in the moment.

Sanvello allows you to create a personalized vision board to college images, quotes, pictures and more to help motivate you and spark hope or your desired mood. You can use this as a space to collect inspirational images and words.

Looking for assistances with a specific issue or concern such as, learning to sleep, managing social anxiety, healing heartbreak and more. The Sanvello mini-collections are a series of smaller bite-size video and audio content focusing on particular topics of interest that include information and guided tools to cope with the topic that has been selected.
Collections: Select "Explore" on the bottom menu. Collections are sorted by subheadings and are updated throughout the year with new topics added and seasonal topics removed. Subheadings include, "Featured Collection," "Healthy Habits," "Feel Good," "Getting Through It," "How we Work," and "Parenting"
Connect with other Sanvello users, share personal stories, and engage with others on a variety of different topics through th discussions and the chat groups features.
Community: Select "Community" on the bottom menu. You can select the discussion boards or the chat group options at the top of the page
