The schedule below reflects our current lineup of Homecoming & Family Weekend events—but we're not finished yet! Additional activities are still being finalized and will be added as we get closer to the big weekend, so be sure to check back for updates.

Schedule of Events

  • Pep Rally: Campus Center Quad, 12:00-1:00 p.m.
  • Jazz Concert: Whalen Center for Music, 7:00 p.m.
  • Celebration of Scholarships Luncheon: Klingenstein Lounge, Egbert Hall (Campus Center), Noon–2:00 p.m. 
    • Attendance is by invitation only. 
    • This annual event celebrates the support that makes the IC experience possible for scores of students each year. Current student recipients of endowed scholarships are joined by the alumni and members of the IC community who fund the awards to share the stories of success and commitment to the college that fuel these special lifelong connections. 
  • IC Makerspace Open Hours: 102 Friends Hall, 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
    • Stop by the IC Makerspace, a collaborative workspace used for making, learning, exploring, and sharing while utilizing a range of creative equipment, tools, and materials that are available at no cost to all IC students. The space is equipped with 3D printers, a laser cutter, sewing machines, Cricuts and various hand-crafting tools which can be leveraged for academic or personal projects. Drop by during open hours on Saturday for keychain making! Children under 16 must be supervised. Food and open drinks are not permitted.
  • Open Gaming in the Esports Lounge: 110 Friends Hall, 2:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
    • Stop by for open gaming hours! Two console gaming areas will be open for play on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, XBox Series X, and PlayStation 5. With a wide variety of games to choose from, you could level the playing field with a Mario Kart competition, step it up with games like Smash or Mario Party , or put your teamwork to the test with a round of Overcooked ! For the retro gamer, try classic arcade games like Space Invaders , Pac-Man , Street Fighter , or one of the other 4,000 titles on the arcade cabinet. A dozen Alienware gaming PCs will also be available with a selection of titles like Marvel Rivals , Rocket League , Fortnite , and more. Supervision is required for children under age 16. Food and open drinks are not permitted.
  • Check-in and Welcome: Main Concourse, Athletics and Events Center, 4:00-7:00 p.m.
    • Visit check-in, where you'll pick up your name tag and lanyard—your entry pass to all weekend events. While you're there, stop by the tables to say hello and ask questions: the IC Family Council will be on hand, along with Countdown to Cortaca, Wegmans, and Visit Ithaca.
  • From Homecoming & Family Weekend to Finals Week: Main Concourse, Athletics and Events Center, 4:00–7:00 p.m.
    • Families: finals season will be here before you know it, so make your visit last a little longer. Stop by the Residential Life table at check-in and write a personal note of encouragement for your student. We'll save it and deliver it during finals week as a surprise reminder that they're loved, supported, and cheered on by the people who care about them the most. Sometimes a few heartfelt words are exactly the boost a stressed-out student needs.
  • S’mores on Da Quad: Campus Center Quad (between Campus Center and the Fitness Center), 4:00–7:00 p.m.
    • Join the Unity Center for this annual family and alumni event. Customize your own s’more, roast marshmallows, and enjoy hot chocolate with all the fixings! Allergen-friendly s’mores and hot chocolate are also available. The first 100 attendees get a special prize!
  • Family Leadership Society Launch Reception: 1st floor Lobby, Peggy Ryan Williams Building,5:00–7:00 p.m. 
    • Attendance is by invitation only. 
    • This gathering of IC parents and families offers an opportunity to connect with President La Jerne Terry Cornish, members of the President's Executive Council, our Family Leadership Society Chairs and current members, and others from the IC community, while learning more about the impact of family philanthropy and engagement at Ithaca College.
  • Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony: Emerson Suites, Phillips Hall (Campus Center), 5:30-9:30 p.m.
    • Separate ticketed event, not included with weekend registration. REGISTER HERE
    • The Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame was founded in 1969 to honor those persons who have made outstanding contributions to the intercollegiate athletics program at Ithaca College. The 56th Hall of Fame class includes:

  • Hillel Shabbat Services: Muller Chapel, 6:00–7:00 p.m.
    • Join the Ithaca College Hillel organization for Shabbat services.
  • Shabbat Dinner and Reception: Muller Chapel, 7:00–8:00 p.m.
    • Prior reservation for dinner is required to attend.
    • Enjoy a warm and cozy kosher Shabbat meal following services with Hillel students and staff.
  • Ithaca College Theatre Production: Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters: Clark Theatre, Dillingham Center, 7:30 p.m.
    • Tickets should be purchased in advance at ithaca.edu/mainstage.
    • Set in a provincial military town in the Soviet Union of the mid-1980s, Three Sisters follows the Prozorov family as Glasnost and Perestroika stir quiet change around them. Amid worn interiors and military formality, the sisters cling to routine, longing for the Moscow of their childhood. Chekhov's play emerges as a portrait of a family sensing change before they're fully ready for it.

  • IC Runs Purple 5k for Domestic Violence Awareness Month: Kostrinksy Field, 8:30 a.m.
    • Hosted by Ithaca College's Office of Public Safety and the Prevention Education Network to benefit the Advocacy Center of Tompkins County. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. for those who have not registered and 8:45am for those who have pre-registered with the race beginning at 9 a.m.
    • Parking will be available in L Lot. The event is free to attend, and participants will have the opportunity to make an optional donation to support the Advocacy Center of Tompkins County. In addition to the walk and run, there will be giveaways, opportunities to win prizes, and plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere.

  • Saturday Morning Check-In and Welcome: Main Concourse, Athletics and Events Center, 9:00-11:00 a.m.
    • For those who can’t make it to Friday’s Check-in, this provides another opportunity to sign in and pick up your name tag and lanyard, which will serve as your entry pass to weekend events. While you're there, stop by the tables to say hello and ask questions: the IC Family Council will be on hand, along with Countdown to Cortaca, Wegmans, and Visit Ithaca.
  • Bee Fest: Ithaca College Apiary (follow the signs from the Office of Public Safety building), 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
    • Did you know that Ithaca College has its own honey bee program and an on-campus apiary? Join South Hill Apiaries for our annual open house. Activities include hive tours, crafts, learning opportunities, honey sales, and more!
  • Homecoming & Family Weekend Picnic Lunch: Campus Center Quad, 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
    • Enjoy a complimentary buffet luncheon. This is a great opportunity to meet other alumni, families, and students. Weather permitting, the lunch will be held outside. Dress appropriately!

  • Study Abroad Through IC: 102 Textor Hall, 2:00–3:00 p.m. 
    • Join us for an informative introduction to the study abroad opportunities available to students.

  • Susan DiPace ‘74 Alumni Panel and Networking Event: Clark & Klingenstein Lounges (Campus Center), 4:00-6:00 p.m.
    • This two-part event kicks off with a career-focused panel discussion featuring three accomplished IC alumni who have transformed their Ithaca College experiences into successful and often unexpected career journeys. Hear their stories, learn how they navigated career decisions and challenges, and gain valuable insights that can help current students and other alumni explore their own paths with confidence.
    • Following the panel discussion, enjoy complimentary light refreshments while networking with IC alumni representing a wide range of industries and professions. This is a unique opportunity for alumni, current students, and families to interact.
  • One World Concert with IC International Club: Emerson Suites, Phillips Hall (Campus Center), 7:00 p.m.
    • Join the Ithaca College International Club in celebrating the diversity and talent of IC students. This concert is dedicated to the appreciation of arts, music, dance, and other performances representing different cultures in the United States and internationally.

  • CAPS Open House: Hammond Health Center, Side Entrance, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
    • The Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will be open to visitors. Tour the space, learn about the services we provide, meet a counselor or two, nourish yourself with coffee and donuts, and imagine what is behind those closed doors as we support students’ mental health.
  • Concert Band: Ford Hall, Whalen Center for Music, 4:00 p.m.
    • Free tickets should be obtained in advance at ithaca.edu/mainstage.
    • Enjoy an afternoon performance by the IC Concert Band, showcasing the talent and artistry of our student musicians.
  • Catholic Mass: Muller Chapel, 6:00 p.m.
    • Join the Ithaca College Catholic community for mass.
