If a student receives a package that is too large to fit in a locker, they will receive an email stating so, and that they need to pick it up at the mail center,
Transportation is intended for items which are very heavy, and if the student has no other transportation options (like a friend). Do not assume that Mail Service will be able to deliver a large item in a timely manner before you order something (like a refrigerator or furniture).
Vehicle assist is subject to availability - At the beginning of semesters, we won't have time to deliver oversized packages, often times not until late September or October. We are also only able to deliver oversized packages in the afternoon, usually between 2:30-4:30.
Mail Service staff cannot enter residence halls, dorm rooms or apartments. IC Mail Service staff will attempt to drop off item(s) close to the building entrance, access permitting, and only when the recipient is present to accept.
