The President's Seed Grant Initiative is intended to provide a launching pad for original, cross-disciplinary collaborations that develop innovative ideas. Successful grant applicants will clearly demonstrate how their proposal will advance the college’s mission by reaching beyond departmental roles and programmatic boundaries to identify or develop areas that are important to the success of the institution.

Applications are now open for 2018-19 seed grants

The deadline to apply for a 2018-19 President's Seed Grant is Friday, November 2, 2018. Applications are taken online only, and proposals should clearly explain the idea’s potential to leverage the capacity of the college by cultivating innovative collaborations. Applicants must provide an itemized budget.

Only faculty and staff may serve as the lead on the grant project, but students are welcome to participate as team members. Grant amounts will be determined by available funding. Grant funds may not be used to support the hiring of additional staff or faculty.

Selections of winning proposals will be made by the president in collaboration with and based on the recommendations of a grant committee comprised of faculty, staff, and students.
