Kirra Franzese was appointed Associate Vice President at Ithaca College in August 2018. She was later promoted to Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer in the Fall of 2022.
In her role she plans, directs, and provides leadership in the development of staffing sources to meet the College’s human resources needs. Oversee the administration of policies and procedures related to employment, initiates and conducts orientation programs for employees, develops and conducts orientation and instructional programs for supervisors, and provide advice and consultation to supervisors on recruitment, selection and other employment matters. Advise department managers and College officials regarding compliance with USCIS, hiring and work authorization regulations and procedures for employing international faculty and staff. She also serves as an internal consultant and recommends employee development strategies to managers and supervisors that support the vision/mission of the College.
Kirra earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Binghamton University. She lives with her family in the Central New York area and has sent her children to IC.
