Summer Housing Options

During the summer break period, many of our residence halls and on campus apartments house summer conference guests and groups.  Conference and Event Services manages registration for all conference groups and programs, as well as pricing and meal plans.

Residential Life manages on-campus housing for Ithaca College (IC) Summer Session students and student employees. It is important to note that resources are more limited over the summer.

Information for Ithaca College Summer Session Student and Student Employees

  • During the summer term, on campus housing is available for IC summer session students, student employees, and students with exceptional needs who are registered for housing. Student must register for summer housing 14 days prior to their arrival. To register for summer housing please complete the form on the Housing Portal accessed via HomerConnect.  The form opens March 14, 2024.
  • Students will be billed based on a weekly rate (defined as seven consecutive days), including multi-week reservations. Bills will not be adjusted if you arrive late or leave early during your reservation.
    • For example, if you reserve housing for 15 days, you will be charged 3 weeks (the equivalent of 21 days). Students who stay for partial weeks will not be pro-rated.
    • Double room $80.00/week (includes 21 meal swipes per week)
    • Single room $90.00/week (includes 21 meal swipes per week)
  • All students living in summer housing are required to have a meal plan. The summer meal plan includes 21 meal swipes for each week in residence in summer housing. • Students who need to live on-campus for the summer, and who cannot afford the cost of summer housing, can apply for a summer housing fee waiver. Waivers will only be considered in cases of significant financial hardship. Requests will be reviewed by the Office of Student Financial Services and the Dean of Students Office. You can submit a request for a financial hardship review by completing the hardship review request form. If you have any questions you can contact Dean Marsha Dawson at You will be notified of the outcome of your review via email.
  • Housing assignments are made using information the student provided on their registration form such as requested room type and roommate. Students with a special accommodation will follow the same process as during the academic year; please see our Special Accommodations webpage for more info.

  • Information regarding summer health and safety checks, scheduled power outages, and fire drills will be emailed to all summer students at their official IC email address and posted on signs in the summer housing buildings.
