Uncommon Ground for the Common Good

About the Project

The “Uncommon Ground for the Common Good” Project is funded through a grant awarded to the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life by the Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) as part of their pilot program, "Courageous Pluralism." Fellows are selected through an application process and participants learn how to engage the public sphere via their religious and philosophical commitments, to bridge the religious and political divides spreading through higher education.

This project aims to cultivate a campus climate that embraces our whole selves in the public sphere e.g., religious and philosophical traditions, race, ethnicity, gender, class, sexuality, ability. This cohort will engage across differences in religious, spiritual, secular, and philosophical commitments.
