Your mental health is just as important as your physical health, and we are committed to supporting your emotional well-being throughout your college experience. Cayuga Health at Ithaca College provides mental health care and direct support through our on-site Clinical Consultant and medical providers.

Assessment, Diagnosis, and Treatment of Common Mental Health Conditions

Our team provides confidential evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for a range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety)
  • Depressive disorders (including seasonal affective disorder)
  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Stress-related physical symptoms 
    Treatment plans may include medication management, behavioral interventions, psychoeducation, or referral to counseling services.

Clinical Consultation and Brief Behavioral Health Support

Our on-site Clinical Consultant provides:

  • Short-term, goal-focused interventions for common mental health and behavioral concerns
  • Support for adjustment, coping, and stress management
  • Behavioral strategies for managing anxiety, depression, sleep, or concentration problems
  • Motivational interviewing and coaching for health-related behavior change

Psychiatric Medication Management

Our medical providers can:

  • Evaluate the need for medications related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other conditions
  • Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications
  • Coordinate your existing mental health provider to ensure continuity of care

Case Management and Care Coordination

We help connect students to the right level of care:

  • Referrals to CAPS , off-campus counseling, psychiatry, or specialized services
  • Assistance with insurance navigation and accessing local mental health resources
  • Collaboration between medical and mental health providers to ensure integrated support
