Spend a Summer You Won't Forget in the United States

Ithaca College welcomes international student participation in our summer residential programs.

As an international student at Ithaca College, you will work through the Offices of International Programs and Extended Studies. Please read through the following important information before you apply.

English Proficiency

International students should be fluent in written and spoken English. This proficiency is also critical to your success in the program. International applicants whose native language is other than English are required to submit proof of English proficiency. Courses are taught in English and you must be able to effectively communicate with faculty members, fellow students, your roommate, and others to succeed at Summer College. The following are acceptable means to demonstrate proof of English proficiency:

  • The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
         - iBT 80
         - Paper-based 550

  • The International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
         - 6.0

  • Three years of attendance at a high school where English is the principal language of instruction.

Application Deadline

International students must apply by April 1 for residential programs.

Acceptance into Ithaca College's summer college program does not guarantee admittance into Ithaca College.

Program Fees and Financial Aid

Review our Program Fees.
